A Day at Walt Disney World: Magic Kingdom

On the third day of my Florida adventure, we visit Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. This was a day of meeting my favourite characters, eating ice cream, and of course fantastic fireworks.

We start the day in Tomorrow Land and go straight to Space Mountain. Shortly after I meet Stitch and Buzz Lightyear and then we go to Tomorrowland Speedway. My favourite attraction in Tomorrow Land was Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin where you shoot lasers to defeat Zurg. We kept going back on again and again trying to beat each other's score.

I have always loved Winnie the Pooh and his friends right from being a little baby. I think it is one of the characters I never grew out of and still love today. Of course, with my favourite character at Magic Kingdom, I could not resist getting a photo with Pooh and Tigger. We then went on the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Ride in Fantasyland to travel through the Hundred Acre Wood in a huge honey pot!

Shortly after we go to Storybook Treats where I choose a Snow White cone, a blue cone filled with lemon sorbet, perfect to refresh before heading to the next attraction. The Seven Dwarves Mine Train was such a busy attraction, with one of the longest queues of the holiday so far, even with the lightning lane. However, it was definitely worth the wait, you sit in a mine train which was fitted with swinging carriages, making it a bit more exciting than your average family roller coaster.

On the way to Frontierland, we stopped by the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square, this sure did feel strange since it was 38 degrees and sunny. Of course, a trip to Magic Kingdom would not feel complete without a visit to Splash Mountain, sitting in a log flume and enjoying a blast to the past with classic Disney characters, wouldn't be the same if you didn't walk off the ride with wet shorts now would it?
